REPORTS

Evaluation Report

We carry out regular evaluation of the support we provide to members.  Follow this link to see a very brief summary of the recent evaluation. We hope that these results will encourage new members to join us.

Administrative help needed

Our Committee for the year ending July 2019 was elected at the recent AGM  but two vacancies are still unfilled.  We urgently require help from anyone with admnistrative skills to take on some organisational/secretarial support. List of Committee elected available via  Contact us link

Summer Boat trips - 2018

The last of the four Summer boat trips took place on 20th September, ending with an enjoyable lunch at the Hartford Mill.

This  picture from the August outing indicates the Ladybird excursions are as popular as ever.

Outings  and the Freemasons Grant

The generosity of the Freemasons allowed Acorn to run several additional social outings over the last 12 months. The last of these took place at  Hemingford Grey Parish Centre on Friday 28 September, where 25 members had a really nice home-made chicken chasseur, a choice of 3 delicious desserts, coffee and elderflower drink.

Huntingdon Community Radio (HCR104fm) Broadcast

Gordon and Simon took part in a HCR "Over to You" Programme on 16 July and gave an update on Acorn

Tesco Bags of Help

Following a recent public vote in the Tesco Bags of Help scheme, we are delighted to say that Acorn has been awarded £1660. This was the amount bid for and is for a project to fund a year's complementary therapy at our Huntingdon venue. The first tranche of the grant, 75% of the award has now been paid into the bank. We can expect the balance of funding at the project end in May 2019, assuming a successful completion report.
